BetBright have been making all the right noises in the gambling industry over the last couple of years. It’s fair to say that in terms of player numbers they are still one of the smaller options, but the range of sports, markets and promotions allow them to offer a great betting alternative.
The site, whilst compact, is able to offer a solid range of sports. But, it’s been their promotions that have really drawn us in and there’s more on that later in this review.
The BetBright Website
BetBright has really been able to go head to head with the larger companies in the industry. The first thing that strikes you is the simplistic look of the sportsbook when you land on their homepage. You essentially get to look at a few of the next upcoming horse races an upcoming race card, and then you get a list of sports running down the side.
The design of the site is a little uninspiring. Bookmakers are throwing big money at their websites to allow punters to have the best betting experience possible and with BetBright you feel that they look a little dated.
Where they do stand out from the crowd is with their horse racing section. The racecards are clear and easy to use with plenty of information, form and summaries available for UK and Irish races.
It’s likely that you’ll want to use the mobile app at some point, as the design and functionality of it all are much more accustomed to modern day betting. You are able to download the app on both Android and iOS devices, with each offering you same HTML5 platform to enjoy on both.
The betting markets that are on offer are pretty solid, again without ever really challenging the more established brands. Football and horse racing really dominate this section and with it the selection on offer will be enjoyed by a wide range of customers.
The site tends to struggle a little outside of these two though and whilst there are plenty of sports to choose from, once you dig down the range of bets that you can make are pretty limited.
The one thing that did pleasantly surprise us though is their pricing structure. It’s a little erratic in that for some markets we were seeing industry best prices and by a good percentage, whilst for others we were literally finding that they were the worst price for the bookmakers that we cross referenced with.
Based on this we would recommend that you use them alongside other bookmakers. So, you could have accounts with say 4 or 5 different bookmakers and then you can utilise them at the times when BetBright mange to throw in some incredible odds from left field. We would think that using the bookmaker as a standalone option and no others would see you lose out on some value occasionally, although regular customers may disagree with that statement.
Live Betting & Streaming
The live betting section is – finally – where the bookmaker really comes alive. Just landing on the in-play betting section you will see odds changing by the second, often highlighted by colour changes of green, yellow and red, symbolising odds moving or holding, respectively.
Market coverage in these was also good and whilst they change fairly frequently, it meant that it kept it feeling fresh. We also liked that it included a live, up to date match centre, highlighting what was going in a game at any given time. On top of this a stats section and live text updates could be accessed to assert a bit of information behind your bets.
One downside that we noticed though was that a lot of markets were suspended for what seemed a really long time. Now, we might just put this down to the fact when we were testing there were a lot of friendly matches, so keeping track of these might not be as easy, especially from the smaller grounds. Something to consider at least anyway.
It’s worth noting that you are also going to be able to access BBTV. This offers you the chance to watch a wide number of horse races within the site. This section is probably their best feature as not only can you watch up to 2 races at any one time, it’s all brilliantly linked in to betting markets and also Timeform, for added statistics and data.
The banking options at Bet Bright are actually pretty good. You get to choose from the usual suspects in the form of Visa, MasterCard and Maestro card, along with e-wallets such as Neteller and Skrill.
Deposit times are on par with industry standard and can range from 3-5 days with debit/credit cards, but are pretty much instant when it comes to e-wallet options. It is worth noting that more often than not BetBright will require you to send in forms regarding identity to get your money out. You will only have to do this once, but it’s pretty much normal practice. If you are one step ahead of the game then we recommend that you send these in as soon as you sign up, just to avoid potential delays in the mean time.
