Racebets Review

Innovation is one of the most important parts of the online betting sector. It’s tough for new brands to really come up with anything new, due to the amount of money needed to launch these features. But, Racebets have managed to break through, and are now able to offer one of the only dedicated horse and greyhound racing bookmakers.

Whilst the brand means they are going to be limited in terms of the punters that come through their virtual doors, it does mean they are able to provide a cracking place for fans of betting on these sports to get their teeth stuck into.

The Racebets Website

Those of you that are familiar with the early efforts of Betfair, will be able to see that Racebets have followed a similar theme in terms of design. Now, you may be thinking that this would mean it’s a little dated, but it’s really functional and doesn’t feel old at all. Sometimes the simplest designs are the best, which is certainly the case here.

As soon as you land on the site you are greeted with a number of upcoming races from around the world. On top of that you get to see the highlights for the days racing and also the top winning ratio bets for the day, something we rarely see on any site.

There isn’t a dedicated mobile betting app, but you will be able to log on to the site from your mobile device due to the fact that it utilises HTML 5. This allows you to access all the betting markets that you can online and place your bets in what we feel is a more simplistic manner via their betting slip.

Statistics

We also wanted to give a special mention to the Racebets statistics section, just to highlight how good it is! You are able to type in the name of the horse and then click on the stats for it, showing previous finishes, where they have raced, records, owner info and even breeder info. All this is free to use, as long as you have a Racebets account that is.

Betting Markets

As we’ve pointed out, Racebets only includes horse and greyhound racing markets so the number of sports on offer is limited. Comparing it to other bookmakers isn’t beneficial, it’s tough to gauge where they are in terms of their overall platform due to the lack of sites that have the same niche.

But, we are able to compare to some of the biggest bookmakers and their own racing sections, and we are happy to report that the coverage on offer is great. What we really liked is that they haven’t just settled for offering markets on racing from within the UK and Ireland, but instead they have a plethora of races from France, South Africa, America, UAE and many other places around the world. In fact, the site claims to offer races from over 40 countries, which is as big a pool as you’ll find anywhere.

One of the best things about the site are the race cards, which offer up a huge number of different bets and also information on that race. They have teamed up with the Racing Post to offer up a short preview of the races, which again is a really nice touch. On top of this, the standard jockey information, colours, form, weight, age plus trainer data can all be found here as well.

Live Betting & Streaming

Racebets offer up a wide number of streams, which are nicely linked into each of the respected race cards. The live streaming channel is actually free to use and you don’t even need to have wagered on the race to view it, simply just log into your account and head to the race.

The standout feature has to be the number of races that are covered and also the countries that the streams are broadcasted from. Live horse racing streaming is pretty common in the betting industry these days, especially with some of the larger bookmakers, but few cover races outside of the UK and Ireland, making Racebets unique.

Banking

Racebets offers up over 20 different deposit options to choose from depending on your country , which include Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and many more. Deposits start from as little as £10 and are capped at £25,000 with no fees to pay on any of these transactions.

All accounts will initially have withdrawal limits placed on their account, but you can get these removed when you verify your account with customer support. The site does recommend that you do this before processing any payments, which should speed up the transaction considerably.
